Help with Hostas

The column this week is about the usual complaints with hostas and deer, hostas and slugs,etc. yet people still want to grow them. Got any great tips? Please share your own hosta highs and lows right here.

My wife was told that Hostas draw bugs.
Have you had any experience with bugs and your hostas?
I'm not sure what kind of bug was the problem but now my wife doesn't want the hostas she's got and had thought about getting more but not now.
Please, any thoughts or ideas?
